Middle School - S/E

Dear CBMEA Members,

I am emailing to inform you that the CBMEA MS Solo/Ensemble event is planned to happen on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 at Leona Libby Middle School in West Richland, WA!

Registration for this festival opens next week on Monday December 6th, and will close on Friday January 14, 2022 at midnight!

WMEA is using the same online system this year as in the past (https://www.opusevent.com/)

Home – OpusEventContest – Solo & Ensemble The contest application provides for registration, payment (by parent if desired), scheduling, and scoring for a variety of contests including Music Solo/Ensemble, Scholastic contests such as Math Olympiad, and many other contest types.www.opusevent.com

The cost per each Soloist/Ensemble will be $20, and you will still need to print off your own invoices after you register your students for this festival!

I will reach out later (after Winter Break) for any special scheduling requests that you may need me to try and fulfill. Although I haven’t completely sorted out what it will look like and have a few meetings with WMEA in the next few weeks, I can tell you that we will be requiring masks (including covers for Woodwinds/Brass and Singing Masks for singers), and we will meet all required social distancing guidelines. After the meetings, I will pass along all guidelines as they are sorted out in the next few weeks!
